Tuesday was June 21, 2005, which was the first day of summer, and it was when I started this column. On Tuesday I was reminiscing about June 21, 2003, I meet Summer Rain and Brandon Groom for the very first time that day, it was the first day of Summer Rain! (-:

Brandon wrestled at the very first Universal Championship Wrestling show against "Mr. Saturday Night" Micheal Barry on June 21, 2003 in Ft. Scott, Kansas. Summer Rain was in the corner of Brandon Groom, and Sassy Merlot was in the corner of MSN. Brandon Groom won their match thanks to interference by Prometheus, and MSN got a powerbomb from Prometheus. Then Thomas Thorn (MSN's tag team partner in The Smooth Criminals) came out, and before I could tell Promethues and Brandon "You've been hit by, been struck by, The Smooth Criminals," Thomas Thorn pulled Groom over on MSN for the 1-2-3! Brandon Groom, Prometheus and Thomas Thorn formed an alliance that night.

UCW Commissioner Romeo Paradise didn't like the fact that the outside interference happened, so Brandon and MSN not only had to wrestle each other in the opening match, they had to wrestle each other again in the Main Event. MSN won that match and went on in The UCW Heavyweight Title Tournament. (Brandon Groom got reinstated in the tournament since he won the match in the first place, and his manager "The Master" Johnny Holiday got his lawyers to get Groom back in the tournament). On August 16, 2003, Groom beat Prometheus and Brent Albright (then known as Slater Vain) to face "Mr. Saturday Night" Micheal Barry for The UCW Championship. I wonder what would have happened if Simon Diamond had been able to make his booking? A little thing called The East Coast Blackout happened in August of 2003 and Simon wasn't able to be there.

Brandon Groom won The UCW Heavyweight Title on January 24, 2004 by beating MSN, and Groom is STILL the UCW Champ! Groom vs. MSN has happened in Kansas, Oklahoma (Groom and MSN traded The NWA Oklahoma Title a few times), Arkansas (in Mid-States Wrestling I'm sure), Texas (I don't know what fed) and maybe in Missouri as well. They probably wrestled each other in another state or two as well.

This Saturday Night, I will see Brandon Groom and Summer Rain again at The Global Wrestling Federation has a show on June 25 in Pittsburg, Kansas called Over The Edge. The Main Event is a tag team match, "Rough, Tough, Buff" Brandon Groom and Fuel (with Summer Rain in their corner) take on Running Wolf and GWF World Champ Joey T.

In a Flag vs Flag Match Angel takes on The Canadian Luchadore.

Lord Steven Lord has a big surprise in store.

I haven't seen Summer Rain since November of 2004! )-: I saw her at The NWA Oklahoma show on May 8, 2004 and I didn't see her again until November 13, 2004 and now I hope I see her again on Saturday (and I'll give her a hug).
