We're starting off with Mid American Wrestling news because the Hardcore Cup starts tonight! Two nights, 15 Death Matches, 16 Wrestlers and I won't even guess how many stitches! The Reverend Axl Future is probably not the 16th wrestler, and I have no idea who the mystery wrestler is and what the mystery stipulation is. I was hoping we'd find out before today. Ian Rotten, Hardcore Craig, "Sick" Nick Mondo, Mad Man Pondo and 12 others are in The Hardcore Cup. Next is match results from the All American Wrestling show from April 13th. J-Rock, Kamikaze, Tony DeNucci and Primetime and more were on that show. Also are match results from the Midwest Pro Wrestling and All American Wrestling shows from April 14th. Shawn Daivari, Sheriff Johnny Emerald and Dr. Darin Davis were among the wrestlers at The Midwest Pro show, and it was a big night for Ian Xavier. Horace The Psychopath and Scotty Zappa were among the wrestlers at The All American show. I have Upcoming show information from now until September featuring Lenny Lane, Jerry Lynn, The Road Dogg, One Man Gang and The Honky Tonk Man. Who's Who in The Upper Midwest is ready to ship, details are inside.

Claw w/ Weird Cookie went to a no contest with Tank
This was a back and forth match with both wrestlers getting the upper hand. The turning point in the match came when WC hit Tank in the back with a chair. Then Cookie hit Tank with his over-the-top-rope leg drop. Claw then gave WC the Claw slam. Claw turned on WC! Then Claw and Tank proceeded to pummel WC until Switch & Horace ran in for the save!
Fearsome Foursome defeated Ratt/Big Dog/Vennom
Lots of action in this match. Too much action to call it.
J-Rock defeated Kamikaze
This match was a high flying feast! Kamikaze took control of the match by working on J-Rock's shoulder. J-Rock then made a comeback with a spring board splash! Kamikaze went to the well again by working on J-Rock's shoulder. Near the end of the match J-Rock went up for the 180 splash off of the top rope. But Kamikaze moved and attempted a pin on J-Rock. J-Rock kicked out. Just like the entire match, Kamikaze went to work on J-Rock's shoulder. But this time it backfired. The end saw J-Rock hitting a top rope splash on Kamikaze for the 1-2-3.
Magnus Maximuys defeated Jason Dukes & Prep Boy Timothy
This match started off with Magnus getting the upper hand on both Jason and Timothy. But 2 against 1 was a bit too much for the big Canadian. Jason and Timothy tried to over power Magnus. But the 6-foot-5 Magnus was a bit too much for the duo. The pin came after Magnus hit a double arm DDT that Jason Dukes was on the receiving end of.
Hannibal defeated Scotty Zappa
Tony DeNucci defeated Primetime
DeNucci came to the ring and started talking about his "Italian Sausage" but the crowd didn't buy it and the pee-wee chant started. Back and forth all the way with this one. One big point in the match is when Primetime hit pee-wee with a splash from the top rope onto the floor. Tony got the pin after a roll up and two hands full of tights.
Armonis vs. Horace and Switch in a $5,000/Tag-Team Championship Ladder Match
2 ladders were brought to the ring for this match. And above the ring were the tag belts and a bag with $5,000! Both teams used the ladders throughout the whole match. But in the long run, it was Horace and Switch who used them the most. Near the end of the match Switch and Micheal Mercedes Armoni were making their way up the ladders. Then Angel made his way up the other side of one of the ladders. Switch and Micheal were going for the belts and Angel (as always) was going for the money. Angel grabbed the money but Switch and the younger Armoni grabbed the belts. What does this mean? Ladies and gentlemen, we have NEW AAW Tag-Team champs! Switch and Micheal Mercedes Armoni. What does this mean for the Coo-Coo's nest? What does this mean for the Armonis. Folks, the brass in the AAW are examining this situation very closely and we'll have an update for you when it becomes available. Stay tuned.
Midwest Pro Wrestling
4/14 Bloomington, MN
at the Bloomington Armory
DJ Nick opened the last performance of the Bloomington series. One thing's for sure, this guy has a wardrobe made for radio.
1.) Shawn Daivari (face) pinned Sheriff Johnny Emerald (heel). She's baaaaaak. The referee for this one was Sandy. Emerald came out first and worked the crowd. Daivari followed wearing a Sheriff's hat and shirt and mocked SJE. Shawn is a natural countertenor. The match began with a pair of hip tosses by Shawn. Emerald bailed out and Daivari dove out after him. Later, back in the ring, Daivari connected with a stiff sitting drop kick, and went on with a russian leg sweep. Emerald came back and called for the pedigree, but Shawn countered and hit a springboard leg drop. He hit that but missed on a moonsault try. The Sheriff got in his bulldog but the youngster battled back and eventually did some kind of a face drop which sealed the win
2.) Austin Aries (heel) pinned Helmut von Strauss (face). Aries, while holding his foe in a headlock, slapped the bald German's head. After a leg scissors, von Strauss connected with a guillotine leg drop, only to miss twice with the fallaway elbow and moonsault. He recovered with his kick routine, but Aries came back with a spine buster for a two count, then a "people's" elbow. He went on with a belly to back suplex and tried for another but Helmut blocked that try and rebounded with a missile drop kick. He followed that up with a savate kick that hit Aries stiff and square on the face. AA came back with a Tajiri elbow, and a knee drop, and then in a funny move that drew applause, repeated the leg drop in "slow motion." Von Strauss came back with an "uberdriver" but got only a two count. At the end Helmut hit a stiff rabbit clothesline, but AA hit a half-nelson suplex which sealed the win. The two continued to fight as they moved back to the locker room. This match was stiff and physical throughout. It was a pleasure to watch the impressive effort.
3.) Thor (face?) pinned "City Slicker" Jake Ricker (heel). At the start
Ricker stalled, displaying his eleven inch pythons. Thor threw Jake about a foot in the air kicking out of his initial pin try. A slap press pin try did no better. Ricker put on a surfboard which got a big "Thor-Thor!" chant out of the audience. Jake paused to talk to his Mom on his cell phone, and after that Thor went on offense hitting a powerslam and a side salto. Ricker tried a swinging neckbreaker, but missed that spot, so he did it again, blaming Thor's long hair. A second surfboard produced a second "Thor!" chant. The pin came after a rock bottom. Action in this one was slow at times, but Ricker was funny, and the audience responded to Thor beating him up.
4.) Black Stallion (face) pinned Ian Xavier to defeat Cruel & Unusual (heels).
This was a handicap match. The heels attacked Stallion before the bell. BS replied with a double clothesline, then a salto on Hoofer. That one came back with a flying shoulder block and threw Stallion out of the ring. BS got onto the ring apron and connected with an over the top rope shoulder block of his own. Ian Xavier got into it with the audience saying to one kid, "Shut your hole!" The kid retorted, "I don't have a hole!" For once, Ian was speechless. Later, when a gray-haired woman got up out of her chair to address "Mr. Unusual," Ian said, "Sit down Grandma Moses." Black Stallion got applause when he body slammed the "Lethbridge Leviathan." C & U got in a good over and under clothesline. The end came when Xavier swung his chair at the Stallion, who was leaning groggy against the ropes. He moved, the chair bounced off the top rope, and clocked Xavier on the noggin. He fell to the mat and BS followed, draping an arm onto Ian and lucking into the win. After the match Xavier said, "That Black Stallion's ass is grass and I'm the lawnmower."
After intermission Mike Mercury, Kevin Krueger, and Lacy came out to continue the skit they began last show. Mercury got onto one knee to propose only to have Lacy slap him in the face. Shifty and Mitch Paradise then came in to clean house.
5.) Adrian Lynch (w/Sheriff Johnny Emerald, heels) pinned "Straight Edge" Eric Hammers (face.)
Lynch tried to overpower Hammers early. Eric started a "kill the pig" chant. After taking an inverted DDT, Lynch bailed out. Eric Hammers then climbed to the top corner turnbuckle and delivered a somersault senton on Adrian and Sheriff Johnny. He landed hard and appeared stunned. Emerald broke character and checked on him. After a short time the action resumed, but Hammers was favoring his right ankle noticeably. Lynch threw Eric out of the ring where he was attacked by SJE. Though hampered, Hammers got in an offensive series of a DDT, spinning heel kick, sitting snap mare, and a top rope huracanrana. Lynch hit a pile driver and got the clean pin. Hammers was still limping after.
6.) Mitch Paradise and Shifty (w/Lacy, faces) defeated Mike Mercury and "God's Gift" Kevin Krueger (heels).
There was a very large contingent of "Team Paradise" in the crowd. Maybe they put something in the water in New Prague, but these people are as fecund as the shad. Early on Shifty hit a standing huracanrana on Mike Mercury. Later Mitch threw Kevin Krueger over the top rope, showing good height. In a good double team move, Paradise held Mercury in a full nelson while Shifty dropkicked him. Mitch later put a pumphandle fallaway slam on Krueger, then tagged to Shifty. Soon after Krueger dropped Shifty's neck onto the top rope and the heels took over. What followed was a long sequence of selling by Shifty, with intermittent tags to Mitch that the referee didn't see and thus, didn't allow. During this sequence the heels put Shifty onto the top turnbuckle, Mike Mercury climbed Kevin Krueger's shoulders and executed a top rope, totem pole suplex. This had to be the move of the night. Finally, Shifty made the hot tag and Paradise took over and, while holding Mercury for a fallaway slam, delivered a big boot to Krueger. Next he put the chokeslam on Krueger to seal the win.
7.) Ian Xavier won the 19-man "Bloomington Brawl."
This was done in a Royal Rumble format. The wrestlers entered in this order: 1. Austin Aries, 2. Helmut von Strauss, 3. Big Daddy Hoofer, 4. Eric Hammers, 5. Radical (formerly T-Bone Roads and Road Rage), 6. Black Stallion, 7. Playboy Pete Huge, 8. Doctor Darin Davis, 9. Mason Diggs, 10. Shawn Daivari, 11. Thor, 12. Mitch Paradise, 13. Adrian Lynch, 14. Mike Mercury, 15. Shifty, 16. Kevin Krueger, 17. Ian Xavier, 18. Sheriff Johnny Emerald, 19. Jake Ricker.
The wrestlers exited in this order: 1. Helmut von Strauss 2. Austin Aries, (these two continued to fight outside the ring and back to the locker room) 3. Sarge. 4. Hoofer, 5. Black Stallion, 6. Eric Hammers, 7. Playboy Pete, 8. Mason Diggs, 9. Doctor Darin Davis, 10. Thor, 11. Mike Mercury, 12. Kevin Krueger, 13. Adrian Lynch. At this point Mitch Paradise body slammed Ian Xavier. The impact of the broad-beamed Canadian hitting the mat was so great that 14-17. Shifty, Jake Ricker, Shawn Daivari, and Sheriff Johnny Emerald simultaneously flew out of the ring. While Paradise was distracted by the Cheeseheads, Xavier eliminated him to win the Bloomington Brawl, and was awarded a trophy for his effort.
