VAN DAM vs. HENDERSON
CALLED "MATCH OF YEAR"

As soon as it was over, fans of Ultimate Pro Wrestling were quick to label Wednesday night's main event as "Match of the Year" quality. UPW announcers Doc Marlee and Big Schwag said it was probably the best UPW match ever. The matchup headlined a card called "When Worlds Collide."

For almost 20 minutes, Rob Van Dam and Mikey Henderson fought a very rough and brutal fight. It was a fight.

The Galaxy Theater in Santa Ana, California was packed with hardcore wrestling fans. The box seats sprinkled with Hollywood movie types and guests from the World Wrestling Federation.

If this match is ever made available on tape, you should buy it. The Van Dam-Henderson main event is worth double the price. Van Dam wins with the
split-leg moonsault.

RVD MAKES DEBUT IN ST. LOUIS AREA FRIDAY, MARCH 30
Many fans were disappointed last year when ECW made its debut in St. Louis and, due to injury, RVD was unable to wrestle. Now, Missouri mat fans will be able to see "The Whole F'n Show" at the top of his game!

Mr. Monday Night joked about Nova's acquisition of a new and improved, ripped body. RVD and Nova have had only one previous encounter, back on November 22, 1996 in which RVD won. The match will mark RVD's St. Louis wrestling debut.

J-Rock won the 14 man Battle Royal. It ended up with two superstars left -- The reigning AAW Heavyweightchamp Tony DeNucci and the high flyer J-Rock. J-Rock then eliminated Tony D. This put Tony into a frenzy! He then challenged J-Rock for his Heavyweight strap. ... The Koo Koo's Nest (Horace
the Psychopath and Switch) beat the Armonis. This match went back and forth between the combatants. Switch then was on the receiving end of a brutal assault by the Armonis. But it all ended when Horace got the tag from Switch. ... Trailer Trash Tim beat Tank. This was Tank's return match from being
injured for more than 2 months. Tank took over early by working on TTT's legs. TTT then got the upper hand with 3 drop kicks that floored Tank. This match went back and forth with TTT always besting Tank. TTT finally hit a stunner and covered Tank for the 1-2-3. ... Mike "The Bull" Gueke beat Ratt. This was the second match of Ratt's career. And he's already mastered the art of deception and lies and insulting the fans with his verbal ramage. He cheated most of the way through the match. But Bull got the upper hand with an appearance by "Mr. Jocko". Then Romeo Valentino ran in to assist Ratt but it back fired and gave Bull the victory. ... Tony DeNucci beat J-Rock. This match was for the AAW Heavyweight Belt. J-Rock dominated Tony for most of the match. But as usual, Tony resorted to cheating to get the upper hand. This
was probably the fastest paced match of the night. After a number of exchanges Tony Denucci came out on top (by cheating). ... The Koo Koo's Nest beat the Prep Boyz. This was a back and forth match with a lot of high spots. At one point in the match, Matthew of the Prep Boyz took a back body drop that sent him sailing high! It almost looked as if he fell form the ceiling! ... Dave Rose & Hannibal beat Natural & Mad Wolverine in a hardcore tag team match. This match topped the last blood bath that happened at Brawl 6!!!
Light bulbs over heads, chair shots galore, and bodies going through numerous doors were on the menu for this encounter!! Brutality personified can only explain this match up. If you missed this, you missed probably the match of the year in the AAW. Too much action to call this one close. The fans were stunned by the brutality that these superstars put themselves through. One can only wonder how these 4 competitors walked away from this 15 minutes of brutal carnage!

In the Semi-Main Event Scotty Z pinned Chi-Town Thug. The next matchup had "Wild" Wade Chism defeating "WarCloud" Tim Vain. "Sheik" Derek Stone got the pinfall over "All That" Matt Murphy.
