Old Time Radio
Christmas Shows

In October 1999, I made a list of Scary OTR shows to listen to in October to get me ready for Halloween. I decided to do the same for Christmas. I'm gonna listen to an hour a day, and an episode of The Cinnamon Bear every day between November 29th and Christmas Eve.

I'm limited to listening to the not quite 2000 shows in my collection. Some of those were taped off of the radio so they were edited for broadcast (the old commercials were taken out and new ones put in). The shows that I have that are complete and of good sound are listed on my OTR Audiotapes page.

I remember hearing a Christmas Episode of This Is Your FBI about 10 years ago. As I recall, an elderly man that played Santa Claus for the children was missing this year, and The FBI went to look for him. Anybody have this episode. (I'm pretty sure it was This Is Your FBI). I guess it was either "The Return of St. Nick" or "The Innocent Santa Claus."

The Christmas shows that I picked for December 24th (Duffy's Tavern and Grand Central Station) are probably my two favorite Christmas OTR shows that I've heard. Everyone should have those two in their collection.

I used this same playlist in 2000 as well.
