--IAN ROTTEN PINS CM PUNK TO RETAIN MAW TITLE!!
--DINO TO DEFEND DAIRYLAND TITLE ON 8/17 IN KENOSHA!!
Mid American Wrestling returned to KP Classics in Big Bend, WI this past Saturday night, 7/21 for the 9th Annual "Summer Sizzler Spectacular." Here are your results...

1. BUTCH McLAIN defeated BRAD BRADLEY via submission in the opening bout.

2. "Double D's" FRANKIE DeFALCO & JASON DUKES (w/ Holly) retained the MAW Tag Team Titles against "Love Machine" MATT LONGTIME & FARMER VIC.

3. ADRIAN SERRANO (w/ Holly) defeated DARKCHILD with an armbar submission in a shoot fighting attraction.

4. IAN ROTTEN defeated THE NECRO BUTCHER (w/ DP & CM Punk) via pinfall in a Barbed Wire Board & Bed of Nails Match after Necro was face first on the bed of nails, and Ian chairshotted him in the back of the head. Post-match, Punk jumped Rotten from behind and the two had to be pulled apart by the entire locker room of wrestlers.

5. CM PUNK (w/ DP) pinned THE SKULL KRUSHER after Prazak threw powder SK's eyes.

6. DINO BAMBINO won a Three Way Tables Match against "Classic" COLT CABANA and "Dysfunction" KURT KRUEGER. The first fall went to Bambino. Dys had set Cabana on a table, and climbed to the top rope, but Dino cut him off with a kick to the head, launched Dys onto Cabana, with Kurt hitting him with a legdrop, but the table didn't break! Dino then picked up Colt and gave him a sit out powerbomb off the ring apron to the floor through the table. Bambino then won the second fall as he put Dys through another table with a Michinoku Driver.

7. IAN ROTTEN pinned CM PUNK (w/ DP) to retain the MAW World Heavyweight Championship. Several times throughout the bout, Rotten went to chairshot Punk, but was unable to do so, both due to Prazak's interference, as well as Punk's quickness. In the latter moments of the match, Punk worked on Ian's leg, and applied the figure four leglock several times, but Ian would not submit. The match concluded when Punk attempted to apply the figure four yet again, but Rotten rolled him into an inside cradle for the three count.

Post-match, Prazak and Punk declared that it was a fluke pinfall, and insisted Punk could defeat him in a rematch. It was agreed to that Rotten and Punk would do battle at the next KP Classics card (the night before Labor Day, 9/2) in a Texas Death Match, where you must pin your opponent, yet they must also not be able to make it back to their feet following the pinfall.

--SUICIDE KID WINS IWA HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE!!

IWA Mid-South Hardcore Wrestling presented a one-night single elimination tournament to name a new Heavyweight Champion (as a result of Hido being stripped of the title after losing a loser leaves town match to Necro Butcher) this past Saturday night, July 21st in Charlestown, IN. Here's what went down...

The show started with Mitch Page and Jon Howard coming to the ring to declare that Mitch was winning the tournament and that they didn't see what all the complaints were about since Brent Blades is just as biased towards Ian Rotten, Suicide Kid and Corporal Robinson and Jon is towards the MMPs and Superheroes. This brought out Brent Blades who declared that there would be no chicanery by Jon Howard on his watch tonight. Eventually everyone was out to talk about why they were going to be the one to win tonight.

Todd Morton def. Mark Wolf (subbing for Chip Fairway). Todd tried to declare himself the winner since Chip wasn't there. Mark's music hit and he came out to say that Patti called him this afternoon to replace Todd and it would be his honor to kick Todd's ass. Jim Fannin repeatedly interfered and then was called into the ring by Todd to hit Mark with a chain. Mark moved by Todd blocked the punch before it connected. He started yelling at Fannin for missing and Mark came charging from behind. Todd moved out of the way and Fannin and Wolf butted heads. This allowed Todd to hit a dazed Mark with a Tomikaze ddt for the pin.

Suicide Kid def. Chris Hero. Hero took control after Suicide Kid hit a plancha through the ropes to the floor. After getting up, Fannin drilled Kid in the back with a forearm and threw him into the ringpost. Kid got busted open by the post and Hero took advantage. Hero then called Jim into the ring to hit Kid with the chain. Kid moved and this time Fannin did drill his own man with the chain. Kid throw Fannin from the ring and hit the stunned Hero with the Suicide Solution for the win. Hero blamed Fannin for the loss while Fannin blamed ref Jon Howard. They hugged and made up afterwards.

Mitch Page def. Cash Flo. Cash had control of the match until he went up top to hit the Oh Shit Legdrop. As he started to climb the ropes, Jon Howard ran out and pushed him off. Brent Blades went to yell at Jon but Jon grabbed Brent by the head and dropped to the floor causing Brent to be slingshotted throat first on the top rope. Mitch hit the Vader Bomb on Cash and Jon slid into the ring and made a fast count for the pin.

Corporal Robinson def. Chris Hero. Jim Fannin came out and said that since Rollin Hard didn't show up and a mistake on his part led to Hero being defeated earlier that he was putting Hero back into the tourney as Rollin's replacement. Patti came to the ring and asked he Fannin was ready to face the wrath of Ian when Ian returns from Milwaukee and the Superheroes said yes so Hero was allowed to wrestle. Hero dominated the opening moments including hitting a variation of a Michinoku Driver onto a chair opening up a cut on Corporal. Fannin repeatedly punched Corp out on the floor to open it up worse. Jon Howard repeatedly made fast counts for Hero until the 5 minute mark when they were all out on the floor. Brent Blades came out and hit a springboard dive onto Howard, Corporal and Hero. The two refs began brawling on the floor as the two wrestlers returned to the ring. As Corporal hit the bootcamp onto Hero, Brent got the upperhand in the ref fight. Brent slid into the ring to make the three count.

Semi-Finals

Suicide Kid def. Todd Morton. Morton repeatedly told Fannin to leave the chain in his pocket and not to do anything until he said too so Fannin wouldn't mess up again. Morton dominated the match reopening the cut from earlier in the night. Todd eventually asked Fannin to throw him the chain. Fannin did but overthrew him. Suicide Kid caught it and drilled Morton with it as he turned around. Fannin tried to grab Brent Blades before he went for a count but Mark Wolf came out and pulled Fannin's feet causing him to fall to the floor hitting his head on the edge of the ring. Brent then made the three count for Kid to win. Afterwards, Morton threatened to beat up Jim until they hugged and made up.

Mitch Page def. Corporal Robinson. Mitch refused to have Brent as ref and Corp refused to have Jon as ref. Patti decided to declared Toolman the ref to be fair and make Brent Blades ring announcer. Corporal had control of the match until Mitch intentionally drilled Toolman. Chris Hero ran out and tried to hit Corporal but Corp sidestepped him and hit bootcamp. Jon Howard then came in with a big chain wrapped around his arm ala the Koloffs and drilled Corporal with a clothesline to the back of the head. He then pulled Mitch onto Corporal and made the fast count for the pin. Brent was just returning from the office to see the finish and he jumped Jon and the refs fought until being seperated by several wrestlers.

Finals

Suicide Kid def. Mitch Page. Mitch came out and proclaimed that a main event title match in IWA should be fought IWA style so it would be a pinfalls count anywhere fans bring the weapons match. Kid agreed. Toolman was once again ref to keep Brent and Jon from doing it. Mitch dominated until throwing Kid to the floor. He yelled at the crowd too long however and Kid gained the advantage. Kid then took a barbed wire stick from a fan and beat Mitch all the way around the ring with it. Then Jon Howard ran out and attacked Kid. At this point, Brent Blades hops into the arena with his mouth, feet and hands duct taped and without his ref shirt. Patti was able to cut him free and then it was a brawl between Brent and Jon. Toolman tried to stop them but both of them drilled Toolman and knocked him out. They continued brawling and Mitch's uncle took Toolman's ref shirt and put it on. Mitch demanded to know what his uncle was doing and then tried to punch him. Kid blocked his punch from behind and grabbed him and hit the Suicide Solution to become the new champion.

After the match, Mitch challenged Brent to a match Wednesday night since Ian was wrestling Jon Wednesday night. Brent came back out and accepted the match reminding Mitch that Hero thought he could kick his ass and Brent beat him.

So Wednesday night has the two referees facing sure doom as Ian Rotten takes on Jon Howard and Brent Blades takes on Mean Mitch Page.

IWA Mid-South Hardcore Wrestling returns to the House of Hardcore (1304 Highway 62) in the township of Charlestown, IN this Wednesday night, July 25th. Bell time is 8pm. Tickets are only $5 and will be available at the door. Fan club members can reserve tickets by calling (502) 569-1701.

On the card, Ian Rotten will face referee Jon Howard, Mitch Page will take on referee Brent Blades, plus Colt Cabana, Adrian Serrano, the IWA debut of "Dysfunction" Kurt Krueger, and much more! The full card will be available shortly. Call (502) 569-1701 for up to the minute details.
