RESULTS FROM SATURDAY 7/14
----------------------------------------------
IWA returned to the House of Hardcore in the township of Charlestown, IN this past Saturday night, July 14th. Here are your results...
1. Ian Rotten, Mark Wolf and Summer defeated Paul E. Smooth, Richard X and Uncle Honky in a six person intergender match when Mark hit an enzuguri on Smooth and he walked into the double arm DDT of Ian's for the pin.
2. Bull Pain defeated BJ Whitmer (w/James Fannin) following the "Pain Game".
3. Chris Hero and Todd Morton (w/James Fannin and Dave Prazak) defeated Suicide Kid and Classic Colt Cabana with help from James Fannin.
4. Tarek The Great defeated CM Punk (w/Dave Prazak) to become the new 11 time IWA Mid-South Light Heavyweight Champion. As referee Brent Blades was distracted by Colt Cabana and Dave Prazak, Ian Rotten nailed Punk allowing Tarek to score the pinfall.
5. "Japanese Stud" Hido defeated "Rugby Thug" Trent Baker (w/James Fannin) and Chip Fairway to become the new IWA Mid-South Heavyweight Champion. Hido and Chip made Baker tap out to a double submission. Who was now the champion? In order to find out, ref Brent Blades asked Baker in what just may be the line of the night, "Who made you tap out?" Baker and Fannin then left the ringside area thinking the match was over. Hido threw powder in Fairway's eyes and because Brent Blades did not get a clear winner from the submission counted the three count on Fairway allowing Hido to become the new champion.
6. In the main event, Corporal Robinson defeated Rollin Hard in a Caribbean Spiderweb Glass Death Match with a t-bone suplex into the barbed wire/glass pit held up on the ring ropes.
NWA PULLS STEVE CORINO FROM AUG 11th SHOW
----------------------------------------------
NWA President Howard Brody called Ian Rotten and ordered that we stop advertising Steve Corino vs. Chip Fairway as an NWA World Title match on the Aug 11th Hardcore Hell and Back Show. He then also told Ian that it was doubtful that Steve Corino would be allowed to make the show. Ian Rotten then decided to go ahead and pull the matchup from the show instead of risking the no-show.
BALLS MAHONEY ADDED TO AUG 11th SHOW
----------------------------------------------
Ian Rotten has added Balls Mahoney to the August 11th Hardcore Hell and Back show as a replacement for Steve Corino. An opponent for Balls Mahoney will be announced soon.
Also already announced for the August 11th show:
Road Dogg debuts for IWA Mid-South to take on former IWA Mid-South heavyweight champion Rugby Thug Trent Baker.

SWEET SCIENCE SIXTEEN COMING IN SEPTEMBER!
----------------------------------------------
The 2nd Annual IWA Mid-South Sweet Science Sixteen tournament, a celebration of the great technical wrestlers, high flyers, and skilled mat wrestlers who compete for the IWA (contrary to what some may claim, we're not all blood & guts!) will take place over the course of two nights, Friday, September 7th and Saturday, September 8th. For those who would like to make plans to attend the tournament live and in person, mark your calendars now. It is sure to be a weekend of shows that some IWA fans who live outside of the Louisville area will want to make a road trip to come and see.
In addition to the 16 man single elimination scientific wrestling tournament on those two nights, for those bloodthirsty fans of IWA's violent hardcore death match style matches, each night will feature a "death match of choice," if you will. More details will be announced in the coming weeks.
It seems as though many independent promotions are holding tournaments this year which spotlight those who in their view are some of the best technical wrestlers and high flyers in the business today. Watch the IWA deliver the best damn tournament of the bunch come September!
Tapes of 7/7's "Extreme Heaven 2001" event are now available on IWA home video. Witness a match of the year contender as six of the top scientific wrestlers in IWA battle it out in a thirty minute six man elimination tag team match as SUICIDE KID & COLT CABANA & TARIK THE GREAT face CM PUNK & CHRIS HERO & BJ WHITMER! See the battle of the Old School as CHIP FAIRWAY takes on STEVE CORINO. Watch "Rugby Thug" TRENT BAKER defend the IWA World Title against THE BLUE MEANIE with the lovely JASMIN ST. CLAIR. And see the IWA debut of the legendary ABDULLAH THE BUTCHER as he teams with IAN ROTTEN against MAD MAN PONDO and "Mean" MITCH PAGE in the main event. If you would like to order a copy, E-mail JFannin73@aol.com for further information.
KING OF THE DEATH MATCH VIDEOTAPES
----------------------------------------------
Copies of the King of the Death Match 2001 Tournament are currently available for $40. It is a two tape set totaling over 6 hours, featuring some of the most violent death matches ever witnessed in pro wrestling.
The KOTDM 2001 video is a multi-camera shoot of the event, which includes locker room interviews with the wrestlers, as well as commentary by Dave Prazak and Axl Rotten, as well as guest color commentators, including American Kickboxer, Jim Fannin, Chris Hero, and Richard X.
