RESULTS FROM WEDNESDAY 7/11
----------------------------------------------
IWA returned to the House of Hardcore in the township of Charlestown, IN this past Wednesday night, July 11th. Here are your results...
1. BJ Whitmer def Corporal Robinson. Jim Fannin interfered several times in the matchup and pulled the ref Brent Blades out of the ring after a top rope frankensteiner by Corporal so BJ couldn't be pinned. Corp gave chase but Fannin eventually crawled into the ring and Corp followed. BJ had the strap and deliverd a clothesline with it and then followed up with a cradle piledriver for the pin. Fannin gave Corp three shots with the strap after the match until Cash Flo made the save. This brought Ian Rotten to the ring to announce that on Saturday night, BJ will face Bull Pain on Saturday night because he knows that Fannin is too scared of Bull to interfere in that matchup.
2. Richard X def. Mark Wolf in a dog collar match with help from Uncle Honkey. Mark was dragging Richard around the ring and touching the corners but Richard would touch them as well. After the third corner, Honkey stopped Mark and thus allowed Richard to sneak around to the fourth corner for the win. Afterwards, they tried to doubleteam Mark until Summer made the save with a groin shot on Richard. Mark said he would find a partner then challenged Honkey and Richard to a tag match Saturday night.
3. Suicide Kid def. Todd Morton. Morton dominated most of the match with help from Jim Fannin and BJ Whitmer. That help ended up backfiring in the end however as Todd called BJ up onto the apron to hit Kid. Kid reversed the irish whip and sent Morton into BJ. He followed with an Oklahoma Saddle Roll for the pin. Fannin, BJ and Todd assaulted Kid afterwards until Cash Flo and Corporal made the save.
4. Hido def. Necro Butcher in a pinfalls count anywhere match. Usual brutality with chairs by these two until Hido hanged Necro and choked him out with a chain. Following the intermission, Necro came back out and challenged Hido to a loser leave town match for next Wednesday night. Either Hido goes back to Japan or Necro goes back to Texas.
5. Mean Mitch Page def. Cash Flo in the main event with help from his stooge ref Jon Howard. Jon delivered several slow counts that kept Cash from gaining victory. The fast count at the end could have set a world record for quickest three count. A match with a special guest referee has been set up for Cash to try and gain revenge.
Announced thus far for 8/11's "From Hardcore Hell And Back" card...
*****IWA World Heavyweight Title Match*****
[IWA World Champion] "Rugby Thug" TRENT BAKER --VS.-- THE ROAD DOGG
*****NWA World Heavyweight Title Match*****
[NWA World Champion] "The King of Old School" STEVE CORINO --VS.-- CHIP FAIRWAY
*****Special Three Way Dance Attraction*****
2 COLD SCORPIO --VS.-- "Classic" COLT CABANA --VS.-- THE SUICIDE KID
Again, that's 8/11. Mark your calendars now!

Wrestling Legend Joins SMARKS Creative Team
New York - Smarks Entertainment LLC. announced today that pro wrestling veteran Terry Taylor has joined the team behind SMARKS: THE PRO WRESTLING CARTOON as a creative consultant. After twenty years in the industry, both as a competitor, commentator, and a creative force behind the scenes, he will be lending his years of experience in the creation of future storylines as well as the development of books, movies, and any animated series based on the SMARKS characters.
Wrestling fans worldwide have known Terry Taylor since 1980 when he won several titles in the National Wrestling Alliance, both as a singles and tag team competitor. Through the years he has also wrestled for, and won titles in the CWA, MSWA, UWF, and World Class Championship Wrestling promotions. He garnered national attention when he debuted with the World Wrestling Federation in the late 80’s, and again in the early 90’s in World Championship Wrestling where he was co-holder of their US Tag Team Titles, and their 6-Man Tag Team Titles. Following his semi-retirement from the ring he worked as a commentator, talent coordinator, and creative figure for both the WWF and WCW.
Smarks Entertainment President Al Isaacs adds, “We have always strived to make SMARKS a funny and entertaining cartoon set within the wrestling world, while always attempting to show respect towards the industry. The addition of Terry’s history in the world of wrestling and his great sense of humor is a huge benefit to both endeavors. We’re very pleased and fortunate to have him on board.
"I'm very excited to get working on SMARKS," Taylor said. "Wrestling has been my life blood for the past 21 years and I'm looking forward to helping expand the business into this medium. Humor is lacking the sport and this is a great vehicle to bring humor using these dynamic characters! These guys do a great job in keeping the business in a positive light and I can't wait to be a part of it. Very funny stuff!"
Created by Al Isaacs and Ted Smith, SMARKS: THE PRO WRESTLING CARTOON (http://www.smarks.tv) has been running as an internet based comic strip and interactive site since July of 2000. While based in the hugely popular world of wrestling, all characters are original as are the federations (SRW and FWF) in which they exist. Currently in negotiations with several production companies for future projects, SMARKS has won praise and awards from wrestling fans and cartoon lovers alike, and is widely regarded as one of the most popular strips available on the internet.
