HomeMy Indyvelopments Archive is current as of yesterday. It goes back to March when I first started posting Indyvelopments. This is the 37th installment. Tomorrow I'll try to post another one. I need to update (pardon me while I put my hair in a ponytail) my WHOLE F'N WEBSITE to fix an e-mail address that went bad (I haven't been able to go to www.fnmail.com in over a month). That doesn't sound too hard, updating an e-mail address. Well, my website currently has 291 pages on it! It will take awhile, but it will (hopefully) keep my mind off of what happened two years ago tomorrow. I'll probably be sad tomorrow anyway though.
After I get my website updated, I'm going to check my Indyvelopments Archive to see who I've mentioned more between The Beautiful Dawn Marie and The Blessed Reverend Axl Future. I try to mention them both whenever possible.
All of the news in this edition of Indyvelopments comes from Tim Larson's Upper Midwest Wrestling Newsletter, which you can subscribe to at the Link Gimmick at the bottom of this post. The UMWN archives are available at The Official Website of The Good Doctor, Dr. Darin Davis, The World's Greatest Proctologist. It's good to see that Trailer Trash Tim didn't retire after all.

Wrestlefest 2001 Results, Next up War at the Wheel
The National Federation of Wrestling held its second annual Wrestlefest this past Saturday in Exeland, WI. Although it was a small crowd, they were very vocal in their support of their favorite NFW stars.
The evening started out with Dangerous Don Roux coming out for an interview. He mentioned the NFW website and the coming Storm. He then called out Darkchild. Darkchild took the mike from him and said he had a surprise for Don. Darkchild called out his friend Trailer Trash Tim, who came to the ring and shook Darkchild's hand. Don Roux then took the mike and told Darkchild the surprise was on him and the Storm had arrived. Trailer Trash Tim then hit Darkchild from behind and ripped off his TTT shirt. El Supremo ran to the ring to help Darkchild.
Chaz Kildare faced Dysfunction in the evening's first match. Chaz went to work on Dysfunction's arm but when he went for a tilt-a-whirl slam Dy reversed it into a reverse DDT. Dysfunction then began punishing Chaz hitting a senton bomb to the floor. He rolled Chaz back in and continued his attack. Chaz got a break when the two collided and both went down. Chaz hit his finisher for the win. Peter B Beautiful came from behind with a chair and left him lying in the ring.
The Real Deal J-Real came to the ring and began tearing into the crowd. Superstar Steve Stardom entered the ring and match number two was underway. Stardom was the quicker of the two, hitting several arm drags and working J-Real's arm. The two went back and forth until J-Real hit a low blow. Stardom came back with a sunset flip, accidentally pulling J-Real's tights down in the back. J-Real got mad and assaulted Stardom. After J-Real nailed a back breaker, he started punching Stardom. But this only seemed to fire Stardom up, who answered with punches of his own. But when he went for a back suplex, J-Real pulled a foreign object from his tights and hit Stardom in the face. Stardom went down and J-Real got the win.
Match three was a bit unusual. It started when Peter B Beautiful told the ref he had a crush on him. Romeo Valentino came out to face Peter B Beautiful and Peter B check the ref for weapons. From there, it got strange. Every time Peter got the advantage, referee Jimmy Kennedy would hit him or refuse to count. When Romeo went for his pins, Jimmy Kennedy would stop at two and tell the crowd he wanted to win one. After the third time of doing this, Romeo grabbed him. Jimmy Kennedy then disqualified Romeo for touching the ref. It appeared that Peter had won by DQ. Romeo said it was OK and even gave the ref a pat on the back. But when Peter came to have his hand raised. Jimmy Kennedy hit him with a stunner and an elbow drop. Jimmy covered Peter and Romeo counted. He then declared referee Jimmy Kennedy was the winner. Chaz Kildare then came out and hit Peter with a bat, reminding him they had a no DQ match next week.
Match Four was a US title match between Darkchild and Tim Storm (formerly Trailer Trash Tim.) Storm came to the ring with Don Roux and Stacey and brutally took the fight to Darkchild, concentrating on Darkchild's neck. He sent Darkchild over the turnbuckle and clotheslined him on the ring apron. But when they went to the floor, Darkchild reversed and sent him into the post. Darkchild then hit his Sniper line and Stoneplex and Storm rolled back to the floor. When Storm came back in, he cut off Darkchild by dropping his neck across the ropes. He then continued his assault on Darkchild's neck culminating with a DDT from the top rope. Darkchild rallied back and hit Storm with a Celtic Cross Splash in the corner. Stacey got up on the ring apron and got in Darkchild's face. Darkchild grabbed her and Storm charged at him from behind. Darkchild ducked and Storm hit Stacey, Darkchild then hit Storm with the Witchblade for the win. Roux's Crew stormed the ring and attacked but was cut off by El Supremo and Tiny Tubbs, who hit Don Roux with a spinebuster.
Next KC Styles took on World Champion Tiny Tubbs. Tiny manhandled KC with several suplexes but was cut off with a low blow. KC then missed a spin kick in the corner and flew to the floor. When he came back in, KC began attacking Tiny's knee. When KC began arguing with the ref, Tiny charged him. KC moved and the 400 lbs champion flew to the floor. KC tried to follow up with a suicide dive but missed. When the two got back in the ring, KC continued his attack on Tiny's knee. KC went up top for the Sensational Takeover but Tiny moved. Tiny then hit two big splashes and a clothesline that flipped KC over. He then hit his Hillbilly Stomp and Spinebuster to remain champion.
In the main event, El Supremo & Shinobi challenged Amerikid & Rayzor Blade for the titles. Amerikid and Shinobi started out. Shinobi got in trouble early when he got his leg tanged in the ropes and was hanging by his ankle. The teams tagged several times as it appeared Shinobi wanted Amerikid but Amerikid wanted El Supremo. Finally, Shinobi hit Amerikid with a spin kick and a gut wrench suplex but he then missed a moonsault. Both men tagged out and El Supremo & Rayzor Blade went to the ground, both gaining numerous two counts. Then the champions began brutalizing El Supremo. After a few minutes of this, Shinobi got sick of it and nailed Amerikid with a kendo stick. He tagged in and gave Rayzor two viscous kicks pulling Amerikid back in. The two went back and forth and hit simultaneous flying face busters. Shinobi was up first and climbed the ropes holding Amerikid in a wrist lock. He then walked out on the ropes and hit a big flying armdrag. He followed up with a Stoneplex. Both men tagged out and El Supremo showed the crowd that he was in fact adept at dishing out punishment. He was cut off with a rake of the eyes but managed to tag Shinobi. Shinobi sent both men down numerous times with double chops and Snakebite Slams. He locked in his submission move, Shiva's Bow, but Don Roux hit him from outside the ropes. Amerikid & Rayzor went to the top rope in opposite corners and hit the Ameriblade, a combination splash/elbow drop, for the win. They then attacked the defeated challengers but were cut off by Tiny Tubbs and a second Shinobi coming from the back. The first Shinobi hit Don Roux with a chair unmasked, revealing that he was in fact Darkchild. Darkchild then laid down a challenge for Roux's Crew to face him and Tiny Tubbs at the next show for the titles.
American Wrestling Organization
6/30 Austin, MN
Attendance: About 100
The show was a memorial for Mike Kinney (Gator's dad) so tickets were $10 a piece and they had special shirts and merchandise for the event, all in all, it was an okay show, but here are the quick results:
Aaron Corbin defeated Ace Corbin via DQ. ... Big Daddy Dolan defeated Justin Attitude ... Gator defeated Stutterin' Mike Stanlee. ... Will E. Mean vs Revelation went to a draw (I think) when they both beat up special guest referee Shimdog. At one point during the match, the ropes came loose so after it they had to take a 20-minute intermission to fix them... The Psychopathic Ryders defeated Tag Team Champions JT Skyler and Max (substituting for Justin Attitude, a photographer, not a wrestler) to win the belts. ... AWO Atlantic Champion Boyscout Billy Crookston defeated Griz and American Justice in a three-way dance to retain his title. ... AWO tag team champions the Psychopathic Ryders defeated Ace and Aaron Corbin after Ace turned on Aaron and left him to fare for himself. ... Kaos defeated AWO heavyweight champion Shimdog to win the title. There were a bunch of different special referees and attempted screwjobs like requiring 5 counts or changing it to a 2/3 falls match in it, but in the end it was Kaos who ended up with the win and the title. Crowd was really into the last match, but not much else.
